Habits Of Tongue

The Messenger of Allah (سيدنا محمد ﺻﻠﯽ الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ ﻋﻠﯿﮧ ﻭﺍٓﻟﮧ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ) said: “Nothing will be heavier on the Day of Resurrection in the scale of the believer than good manners. Allah hates one who utters foul or coarse language.” [Tirmidhi]

Imam Malik narrated that once Eesa (alaihis salam) passed by a pig and addressed it saying, “Pass on peacefully.” He was asked in astonishment, “Do you talk to a pig in this manner?” He replied, “I am afraid that my tongue may get in the habit of rude talk.”
